NaNoWriMo

So, in case anyone out there in Blogland is wondering why I've been absent lately, there are two major reasons:

  1. October has, quite possibly, been the busiest month of my entire life.
  2. I've been developing a story idea, gearing up for NaNoWriMo.
Yep, that's right. I'm taking the plunge. No short, quippy, introspective sketches for me this month. No sir, it's hard-core writing time!

I commit to at least attempt (I will not say succeed) to write a 50,000 word novel in the next thirty days. I can't promise it will be good, or even readable, but I do promise to write. And that's what counts, isn't it? For me at least.

I am my own worst critic (unless there's some horrible person out there I'm not aware of), so it has always been hard for me to follow through on a big writing project. This time, I'm committing. Aggh!

If anyone else is doing NaNo, I'd love to be your buddy! My username is: LearningLark

Wish me luck!

I'm tacking the jump to, hopefully I'll get at lest most of the book done, if not all.

Good luck! (for both of us)

Have a blessed day
writing like mad

Awesome! I'm using this as a jump-start to a book I've been mulling over for a long time. It will at least give me a partial first draft!
