Prayer

I pray that this year You would 

       bind up the broken, 

            be a father to the fatherless, 

                be the joy of the despondent, 

                    be the hope of the hopeless, 

                         be the light of those in darkness, 

                              be the dream of those in shadow. 

Make me an instrument of your peace, oh Lord Most High, may I glorify Your name in all I do. Have mercy on me, a sinner, and give your light and grace to those around me and in the world.

I pray that this year You would be my focus, always before me, humbling me, keeping my eyes fixed on You.

Bless you, Father, for Your goodness in the midst of sin and doubt.
